Camera Privacy Setting is Ignored

Disabling the camera from your Privacy page in Roblox is being ignored in-game, as it still (attempts to) turn on your camera in-game if a camera is connected within the hardware.

Hi, thank you for reporting this. Our team is unable to reproduce this issue. Could you provide a specific list of steps to reproduce, as well as affected UserIDs?

I’m not sure if this is 100% related, there was another issue about the Opt-In/Opt-Out for camera disappearing in settings. You were stuck opted-in as the toggle in settings disappeared.

Hi; Thank you for the response;

There isn’t really a specific list of steps to reproduce, as it’s simply turning off the setting in the site to disable the camera. In-game, it still attempts to enable the camera regardless of the setting.

The affected UserIDs are 253925749 (mine) and 1243087241 (my friend who also experiences this issue).

I cannot reproduce. Having it off makes the menu and buttons not appear, having it on enabled the buttons, leaving the menu open and then switching it off hides everything, as expected.

If you are using the website to change your settings, then maybe you could try using the in-app privacy settings menu? It seems to sync correctly with the website, but might as well make sure.
