if people wanted to learn there are many helpful lessons on The Official Developer Hub made by ROBLOX them selves don’t waste your Robux just learn here Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub
Where not giving false hope in any way. Our company prides our selfs in valuing our customers. When we hear a concern, or compliant we have to take it very seriously. I hope you can change your mind. Here’s what I can tell everyone… lesson plans will be published tomorrow, and everyone will have a better understanding of what is being covered.
It is for 3 hours every day. I can extend it to five days.
I dont see how its possible to teach the basics of programming and advance programming in 6 days.
I asked him this before, he hasn’t have anything planned and he says it will be covered tommorow.
Also, learning basic coding in 3 days is pretty possible, it’s like a crash course. Learning from using print to if-then statement probably only took 15-30 mins, and the basic could be summarized in about 1-2 hours
I’m very sorry you feel this way. Our goal was to teach kids of any age how to code in a fun way. Not to make profit. Our classes will be well worth it. We will publish a video of the game, so you can see for yourself.
I dont see this as a feasible project imo, being an experienced coding, it takes time to develop avid programming skills.
Trust me you think its simple to you because you know what it does, I tried teaching some simple programming concepts to my younger cousin, and It took weeks, and this was a one on one session. It takes time to develop problem solving skills with constraints of programming, plus learn syntax, and the debugging and optimization aspects
Your correct, we are looking in to making this year round.
Perhaps, our way will be different from your experience.
you can’t just go from 3 days to a year.
some people have already bought the product expecting it to be a 3 day event.
I want to give some quick feedback I just read one of your reply’s saying
With that being said these things would most of the times take months to plan not just one day. I looked at the group also, and you also said that you still need to make a Discord and Twitter don’t you think these things should be done already. Also you should have already hired some instructors (maybe not paid yet until classes) also the lesson plans should be finished before even saying this stuff. Try maybe planning a little more, and then come back on the idea. I do like the idea of a code camp, but you have to understand with some people they don’t have microphones or can even call. Some people can even get Discord. You just need to plan more, and take more things into account. Thank you for reading.
I think you should add a minimum age if you want to keep up a relatively quick phase, since older ones usualy pick up logical thinking faster
First of all, the three day event is still happening. It is only going to be three days during the summer. We are looking at a different “Year round” project that you only pay for once a year.
Not really, Its actually sometimes easier for younger persons to learn.
I think everyone here has the complete wrong idea about my game. This will be held through a Roblox game. I use discord, and twitter to promote.
Teaching programming to new persons require a structured and systematic approach or else you will make the person confused and don’t want to learn anymore.
We understand, that’s why we are thinking of a creative way to do this. And we want to make the lesson plans perfect.
How would it work through a Roblox game are you making a whole script creator? So you can script in game if not it would be very confusing.
We have instructors in game to help you. You can code in game then take a test at the very end on what you learned.
