Can I get feedback and advice on my light beam VFX?

So I’ve been messing around in studio with VFX today, I never really got into it and usually I use studio for coding. but VFX has always caught my attention. So I decided to play around today and this is what I came up with. Also, I made the trail effect but I don’t if that was the best way to get what I was trying to do, I was looking to make a trail that follows the path flat on the ground and that was the best way I could think to do it. Any advice on what can be improved on?

This is actually really cool!

It all looks very unified and matches very well. It is also very interesting to look at that trail effect.
Only thing that I personally think should be different, is the coloring of the trail effect (invert the color so that yellow is the initial color and orange is the fading color)
-However, this is totally up to you since this is only in my personal opinion, and many other people would probably disagree with this statement

Overall, this is a very solid light beam :+1:

Thanks for the feedback. I tried inverting it like you said, and personally I think I do like your way a lot better than I had it initially.

VFX designer approves. :+1:

Its very good for just starting out vfx, maybe you could add some smoke/dust particles to the bottom (not locked to part), also i feel like the bottom rings have a different color than everything else

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback and advice, I’m going to try and incorporate what you said and see how it turns out. I especially like the idea of adding a dust particle at the bottom.
