Can i make vfx in blender 2.79

Any Way to make vfx in blender 2.79. On my knowledge there is no threshold on the mask modifier in blender 2.79. Just asking.

Yes, it’s possible, however there isn’t quite a lot of tutorials on designing vfx in the older version. CodyWinch has a tutorial on creating anime visual effects with this version, you could incorporate the same technique he used in making all sorts of style effects with the same workflow. If you ever fill the need to use the latest versions - it may be something to look at if your wanting more recent tutorials;
