Can i "modify" this tank to make it driveable?

I made a simple tank model in blender and want it to use in blender as a real one. I put a vehicle seat on the top just for testing. I got it to drive but because the wheels aren’t really round, the tank jumps around on the terrain. Now my question is, does somebody know if i could use this model to make a drivable tank (without changing/remodeling it)

I strongly doubt that you need to modify it, in short, if scripted it is also possible to drive a block on roblox Just add the right welds and add the drive seat and you can script it.

Can you provide a small video clip of it moving the way it is now, so that we can help you improve on it? Also tell us exactly how you set up the tank so far other than the vehicle seat you added… does it have script and any velocities added to it?

well yes but can a stone drive up a mountain with its edges?

Well if you put his maximum speed to a big number probably

but mine is drifting and falling

Maybe you should a put a Weight in the model so it could be more stable

And how would i put weight into the model?

wait, i had to put every part on massless else it wouldn’t move. But how could i fix that xd

without changing the wheels and having them move separately, it will remain the way it is, aside from giving it weight and having it move awkwardly.

go to the center part and select it and go to its properties and select “custom” physical properties and increase the density.

The only way to give it more “life” and realism is to script it to drive the way you want, and more importantly to have the wheels and track move separately from the vehicle, like in real life.

you could maybe shade smooth the model that might make it better

And how would i shade smooth the model?

It drives better now but still fricky. I don’t even know how to move the wheels speratly because there’s a chain around them and i don’t wanna make the chain move. I want to make it as simple as possible

Without those changes and keeping it simple, im afraid thats the best its going to drive… I would also suggest making the tank wider to prevent it tipping over.

go into blender right click and there should be a menu that pops up at the top is an option called shade smooth click that
there will be some shading issues so go to the green triangle at the bottom right corner and click on it then click the arrow beside “normals” and click auto smooth

That’s better but now it’s driving like it weights tons

Change the density that you changed in the beginning.
