Just wanting to know if I would be breaking any rules to give my Roblox game a name that an existing Roblox game already has? I have seen plenty of games by different people with the same name but I just wanted to make sure they aren’t breaking the rules as well. Don’t want to do anything wrong.

If, it’s either
- not copied (in-game)
- not same logo
- not allowed characters in logo
Then you’ll be fine if you have a name of a already existing game (if you don’t have what’s above you can avoid copyright/taken action.)

Search the title of the game, for example adopt me.
As you can see adopt me gets a huge icon in search which means roblox respects the existence of that game, and would probably ban you if you tried to get a game popular with the same title.
if you decide to search “gacha online” instead, you see that the game has a normal icon. So its safer to use a similar title.
This logic doesn’t apply for existing IP; like the many games titled “Dragon Ball” which presumably have the license to make Dragon Ball games, so if you wanted to make a “Dragon Ball” game you would have to ask Toei for the license before doing so.

There can be multiple games with the exact game name I think. The only thing that can’t be the same is the place id (usually found in links)
What do you mean by not copied and not copied characters? Do you mean as long the game isn’t an exact copy?
Yeah, don’t try to pass your game off as the same thing as another or a sequel. For example, I can’t name my shooter Phantom Forces 2 and get away with it, but I’d likely be safer with a ghostbusters themed horror game called Phantom Force. It’s better to be original when possible, though, since SEO will likely drown out your game.
