The title is self explanatory, I animated a quick face animation in Blender using the same rig I imported into Studio. The animation rotated the character’s head back and opened the mouth, moved the teeth forward, squinted the eyes etc to look like a scream. However, when imported in Studio’s Animation Editor it just rolled the head back and did nothing for the face.
The mouth does not open/move how I want it to, and I was planning to make a fully animated short story horror game however this is a giant obstacle I can’t overcome until Roblox supports .fbx animations for face bones.
If anyone knows a way I can animate the face without using the animation editor please let me know, or if there is a workaround to getting the fbx animation to work. I prefer animating in Blender as it’s easier and has tools & plugins I can download to make animation smoother and easier.
This is the Face Capture in action, it is the only thing I can do alongside the other Face Editor which is extremely cluttered and difficult to navigate.
We can make great games if you help us! Just give us more resources and add support for things other engines have had for years.
