Can links violate rule 14?

Hi, just wondering whether rule 14 (not leaking devforum stuff elsewhere) can be broken via links. i.e. Am I allowed to post devforum links elsewhere, and if I were to inadvertently link to a private category, would that be a problem or would it just not let them in?

If you want to link to private content without “leaking” title then just remove the topic name from the link.

This rule is outdated, we’ll probably upgrade in the future. For now please just follow it as written until we change it. That means not sharing forum content that you can’t see while logged out outside of the forum, and don’t share content only visible to Regulars in categories that only Members can see, unless you have explicit permission / you were the person that originally posted it.
