For the last 3 Days ago, the Ads Manager DOES NOT let me run several different Ad Sets using different Experiences within the same Campaign. For example, if I create a Campaign and run 1 Ad Set on a specific game, I will be unable to run a 2nd Ad Set unless I select the same game that the 1st Ad Set is running on. This was never an issue before the start of this weekend and it’s basically made A/B Testing impossible for the time being.
I’ve attached a screenshot of what I currently interact with when trying to select another game when trying to create a 2nd Ad Set within a Campaign. The Dropdown Bar to select the Experience gets grey’d out and doesn’t do anything when I click on it.
When everything is working properly, the Dropdown menu gets populated and shows all the available experiences I can run my Ad Set on.
Thanks for reaching out and for sharing your feedback!
This behavior is expected — each campaign is now associated with a single experience, meaning all ads within a campaign must direct to the same destination experience. Previously, there was more flexibility, but recent enhancements to Ads Manager have standardized this behavior to improve consistency and simplify campaign management.
If you’d like to run ads for multiple experiences, you’ll need to create a new campaign and select the desired experience for that campaign.
We appreciate your understanding, and please let us know if you have any other questions!
No this is a horrible change, especially given that the minimum cost to create a new Campaign is still 20 Credits. We STILL don’t have an effective and clear cut way on testing unique Icon / Thumbnail Concepts, so the best way to do this was using the Ads Manager to run several Ad Sets with the same Target parameters on different Games with different Icons. Thumbnail Personalization has been a huge help but it is NOT the solution that we were looking for when it comes to testing unique and unproven Concepts.
If you remove the minimum cost of 20 Credits per Campaign, that would slightly remedy the issue.
This defeats the whole purpose of the three step Ad Campaign
My Search Campaigns usually spend very little budget (0.5 - 1 Ad credit per day) so it’s unneccessary to start a new one
I really hope this change gets reverted since it’s really expensive to run two campaigns for smaller devs.
