Can somebody explain to me how its so strictly prohibited to mention other platforms?

Like i made a talent hub job post where i mentioned d***ord and it got deleted, How are people supposed to communicate after hiring people ? Do they think people are seriously using roblox messages where half of what your saying gets filtered to communicate?

I get that it gets blurred in roblox games due to safety of children thats important, but how is it the same rules in a site where you apply for jobs? i don’t think kids even know that exists or roblox studio.

I feel like the “safety” in the world is going too far and in the future we need id everytime we log into roblox

Yeah, I’ve run into this too. It’s honestly really frustrating — like, I get the rules for in-game chat where kids are involved, but Talent Hub is supposed to be for developers. Most of us need something like Discord to actually communicate and work together. Roblox messages just aren’t realistic for that, especially when half your message gets auto-filtered.

Feels like the moderation system doesn’t distinguish between actual dev tools and stuff kids might abuse. I wish they’d treat Talent Hub differently, or at least let us link to external platforms in a controlled way. Right now it just slows everything down.

It’d be cool if 18+ job posts could mention discord, but I think people not 18+ could still see it, so that’d be a no-go. You might be able right now to say discord in a private message after someone applies? I’m not sure.

I swear this issue was talked about before, likely with no great solution. But also I don’t think there’s anyone actively working on the Talent Hub right now at Roblox.

Hi!

Reading through the Official Rules of the Roblox Talent Hub, it seems like you are not allowed to post your discord username in your job post, but only within the “private application chat” for some reason

I am not really familiar with the talent hub though so correct me if i’m wrong. Roblox is very strict regarding off-platform behavior and will likely not change anytime soon
