Can someone help me with a few terrain questions?

So basically, I’m making this game with a huge terrain map (16,000 studs x 16,000 studs). However, I want to know if there is a way to remove the grass in some areas while keeping it in others. Throughout the terrain, I’m going to have some villages and other structures that I don’t want grass in. Also, is there any way to make the “mixture” of the grass and the ground better? I feel like the grass sticks out and contrasts from the ground too much.

You can ‘paint’ with another Terrain material, such as LeafyGrass, over the areas you want to have no grass. You can also use the MaterialManager to force a custom material texture onto both grass and leafygrass, for example, to make the change in grassy areas less noticeable.
