I kinda went into adopt me and looked at some houses and then remade them from memory but I was just wondering what I could do to them to make them look more lively because right now they are as dead as a minecraft shrub

Add small parts with a darker shade to give it that low poly brick effect. Also try making the parts symmetrical and try using a dummy rig to help you with sizing.
To add onto what @UneducatedScripter said, also more geometry to help contrast the housing, a plugin I’d suggest would be this.
As far as i know adopt me uses meshes for most things like houses making the bottom be a lil smaller and the stop a bit bigger. Thats my guess.
add some colour variation and use a darker shade/grey bricks as shown above on the bottom to add dynamics
Yeah somewhat like that. Honestly I would say the best thing to do would be to use your imagination to the best of your ability.
Window frames could be a little less thick, make the light from the windows more blue. Pink house window frames aren’t aligned and a huge pole in the middle. Chimney tops should be taller and less wide. The doors should be the same size, the handle could be a little better. The pink house roof isn’t aligned. Add some more geometry and a “brick” effect by taking smaller parts and poking those so out that they are darker. Add some more color variety.
Thing is starter Adopt Me houses look beyond dead, what makes them lively is their sorroundings and the decoration outside of the houses.
There’s also usually a little bush infront wich actually helps a lot, and they’re also a bit wider, try things around it!
If your wanting a more decent feel like adopt me has, try experimenting with the lighting settings to accomplish a more lively feel to make the colors pop. I’m sure if you adapt a few more additional details it will improve the quality and feel of it, make the bottom frame of the window extend more to have a more better feel.
Add more detail to add important objects within the house. Adding a perfect cartoon lighting source will make the buildings colors stand out and cast that cartoony feel, 'making it more lively. (Experiment instill you get something you like the house looks not that bad, perhaps incorporate lighting to increase a lively look and other define elements.
Low-poly houses like these work best when they blend with their surroundings and have proper lighting. Without these elements, your build can feel out of place and lifeless, as you mentioned. Here are some examples:
House by itself:
House with a well-matched environment:
Color choice is another key factor in low-poly design. Avoid overly saturated colors and instead go for softer, more muted tones
Poor color choice:
Better color choice:
Last but not least, shape design plays a big role as well. Using wedges, cylinders, and curves can help create a more stylized, cartoon-like appearance, which fits the low-poly style better. Try to avoid realism in this case
