When looking on the DevForum and online, I kept finding mixed responses about whether or not someone could take my old group name if I changed it. This is probably because of recent changes to the group system.

I just wanted to know if someone can take my old group name if I change it. (Ex: If my group was previously named “Group1”, and I renamed it “Group2”, can someone else create a group called “Group1”?)

Yes, someone can take your old group name.
