Can someone teach me how to make a multi-color part?

Hello fellow Developers!
I need some help. What i’m trying to do is to make a part that is multi-colored.
I don’t mean like a script that changes the color (like a disco floor). I want to make a part
that is a rainbow and I have no clue how to do so, If anyone can help please reply.
Thanks for reading!

in this case I’d recommend you to make a texture or use a combination of more parts

Yea I would, but I need it in just one part :frowning:
thanks for the suggestion though.

then texturing it would be the best option in my mind

Ok thanks I will try to do that!

The best option would be just creating a texture for the part (like @MarkiPr0 said) , I don’t see any other way unless you want to play with GUI gradients.

make a texture for it, that’s the only way i know how to do it

Did you know you could use beams?

could you check a solution in case a newer developer searches, so they can straight up go to see the solution, and texturing can sometimes be tricky so… Good luck!

I think you could use surface GUIs and use UI gradient for this. It seems reasonable and if you want to make a cool rainbow animated effect then it’s doable. If you are interested in cool colour effects I would suggest reading up on this article about colour theory and how to implement it into programming. It helped me a lot.

I don’t think there is any solution to this. This is open to a large number of other developers who also have their ways to make multi-colour parts.

This is a sort of topic that does not require a valid solution.

that’s true but the possible solution, and there will always be more ways to completing something no matter what, but the best possible solution to this should be (but doesn’t have to) be picked

If you wanted you could put a rainbow colour changing script! It looks really cool and it’s pretty easy to do! :stuck_out_tongue:
