Can there be an option to disable the locations of logins?

If my acc ever gets hacked, I bet most devs (me included) wouldn’t want the hacker to see that. At least make it require 2-step or a pin or something. Also, put asterisks on people’s email account (if verified). Seems very weird that we have these basic privacy measures on the Roblox site but not on the devforums

You should request this feature via: https://meta.discourse.org/

What do you mean by this? What wouldn’t you want the hackers to see?
But when you have to login to devfourms, you have to go through singing into ROBLOX, and if you have 2-step enabled there, there would be a point for it in dev Fourms.

It shows the locations of all of your devices that you signed in on.

There isn’t a way to see this. I also don’t understand where you are getting the location from. There are settings to make your account security a bit more secure. Such, ROBLOX has a system where you have to enter a pin when you log in on a new device. But I do agree, they should add extra features to the DevForums to possible protect things like that.

Go into your settings, and then go into “recently used devices”

Yes, there isn’t anything to do about that. But to prevent a breach, you should make sure to change your password occasionally and never tell anyone your account information.

Ah, I do agree, sometimes the locations a very off, I live in Philadelphia according to dev Fourms. It could work in your favor.

For me, mine is pretty accurate. It’s about 2 miles off. But he does make a good point, if someone where to access your account they would be able to see your location. But then again, people can really access anyone location through their IP address.

Yeah, but if you use basic internet safety, they won’t get your ip.

That is true. Internet safety should really be taught more in schools. This would prevent much of these events.

Unless a suggestion for this gets approved in discourse, I guess we’re stuck using a VPN, or a browser like Tor.

If you don’t make the thread on meta as suggested, then it likely won’t happen for a long time.

Thats not necessarily true, everytime you connect to the internet, hundreds of servers around the globe instantly recieve your IP. If you want to hide it, you could use a VPN, but logically, there is no need.

This is also getting a bit off topic, lets focus on the main subject.
