Can you / are you allowed to copy and paste models so they can't get updated and get a virus?

Hello! I don’t know if this is the right category but my question would be; Can you / is it allowed to copy and paste models so they can’t get updated and get a virus?

As you may know, the creators of Models can update them. So if you copy and pasted it into your game again, you would technically be the “owner” which means if they update it, you will still have the old version?

I don’t think models can get updated. Only packages update when they are published.

I’m actually not really sure, I only know that they can get overridden. So would I get the overridden model when the creator overrides it?

They can only get overridden if it’s a package - even then, you have to update it unless you have auto updates on. This doesn’t happen with regular models.
