Hello everyone. I’m curious if you can change base new part material to something else. Without plugins I’m sure it’s impossible, but with? Is there a plugin that does this? And could you send a link for download?
Something like this?
Part.Material = Enum.Material.Brick
I think you need a plugin if you want a new part to be a different material.
Check out Material | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub for a list of materials you can use. Enum.Material.Asphalt
for example.
Also check out MaterialVariant | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub for information on MaterialVariants.
No, not like that. I want when I insert a new part it automatically changed it’s material to something else other than plastic
You can use workspace.DescendantAdded
event with a plugin and change the material. But removing and re-adding parts will mess their materials up. I don’t think theres a way to detect when a new part is created through the menus
yeah that’s what I did in the end. The only problem left is that I don’t know how to turn the plugin off
You can use Widgets and place a frame with a textbutton in the widget. And you can toggle a value on/off when the textbutton is activated
here’s the plugin https://create.roblox.com/marketplace/asset/15832012264/Change-Inserted-Parts-Material-To-Smooth-Plastic%3Fkeyword=&pageNumber=&pagePosition=
