Can you change base new part material?

Hello everyone. I’m curious if you can change base new part material to something else. Without plugins I’m sure it’s impossible, but with? Is there a plugin that does this? And could you send a link for download?

Something like this?

Part.Material = Enum.Material.Brick

I think you need a plugin if you want a new part to be a different material.

Check out Material | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub for a list of materials you can use. Enum.Material.Asphalt for example.

Also check out MaterialVariant | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub for information on MaterialVariants.

No, not like that. I want when I insert a new part it automatically changed it’s material to something else other than plastic

You can use workspace.DescendantAdded event with a plugin and change the material. But removing and re-adding parts will mess their materials up. I don’t think theres a way to detect when a new part is created through the menus

yeah that’s what I did in the end. The only problem left is that I don’t know how to turn the plugin off

You can use Widgets and place a frame with a textbutton in the widget. And you can toggle a value on/off when the textbutton is activated
