So i wanted to recently test a “anti-harassment” filter that when it detects certain words or sentences in your message, kicks you.
The problem is: i have no idea if i can say these to test the filter without getting banned.
And another problem: I also have no idea if roblox would detect the script as “innapropiate” since it contains those words.
I’m not sure about the forbidden words in the script. But I can say that during a test run of the game in the studio, you can say forbidden words, since no player will see it anyway, Even during solo testing of the place in the studio, the basic chat filter is disabled. It is only turned on during joint testing.
Okay, thanks for the help. I guess i’ll look into some more devforum posts about the words in script part.
So i’ve looked on some devforum posts and i can form a simple answer which is:
If it’s not visible via other players then it’s fine.
Can you get banned for saying certain stuff in Studio?
Unless you report yourself for saying these stuff while playtesting, no.
Can you get banned for having them in your Script?
No, as long as players can’t see it.
You can say filtered words in studio and they wont be filtered.
