Currently, as of 10/26/2023, trying to configure any “Image” or “Mesh” (not “Mesh Part”) asset will redirect to an error on the Creator Dashboard instead of using the old asset configuration page. This issue occurs 100% of the time.
You can configure Image/Mesh assets by visiting the asset on the normal Roblox website and clicking the 3 dots.
Additionally, the “Open in Marketplace” link on the Creator Dashboard also leads to a 404.
Presumably, the old asset configuration page was sunset in favor of editing assets on the Creator Dashboard, but support for Image/Mesh assets was never properly added.
If the old page is being removed, then all asset types should be able to be configured on the Creator Dashboard, including more “internal” ones such as Images and Meshes.
The “Open in Marketplace” link still 404’s, but this probably isn’t a huge priority since you can’t purchase “Image” or “Mesh” assets in the creator marketplace anyway. Maybe it could just redirect to the old library page on the normal Roblox website instead?
I frequently find myself disabling comments on Image assets, so a quick way to return to the library page (where I can verify that comments are disabled) would be helpful. The previous asset configuration page provided this with a “Go to Details” link.
After all, the only way to configure an “Image” or “Mesh” asset is to use the old library page anyway.
