This is really impactful especially if your game relies on inserting or requiring private models, since it basically guts your ability to playtest and forces you to have the models already in the game - that is, if you did have a copy of it somewhere you can get - and that would make stuff like updating maps while servers are running more annoying than it should be
You can view, edit and even upload models, but you cant load them at all if they’re private (using assetdelivery doesn’t work too)
It occurs everytime and in any place you are, even if it’s owned by the group
@anexpia Hello, to help investigation, i will need some information to help me debug.
model asset id
the group owned placeid you tried to insert but still failed
To clarify: it’s intended product behavior today that group owned asset shall not be used in group members(except the owner)'s own place.
However, there is a share function we are going to release very soon which can allow people to officially “share their asset” via creator hub, which is already enabled for audio and video, and we are going to extend this to other types like model.
Model id examples: 15055648590, 14506900779
placeid: 5534891288 this is the start place’s id, though it still does happen for any other placeid owned by group.
Ok sorry this UI is misleading and confused, but likely you need to let “Create and edit community experiences”(your second screenshot) got selected to make it works.
There is some mis-synced between WWW & creator hub migration. Let me know if your still cannot work after that option got selected and saved
Yeah that works, we had done this a while after I initially made this bug report but I hadn’t mentioned that at the time since it was a workaround than the intended behavior
