Cannot play group games - brings me to mac appstore

When I attempt to play a group game on my iPad it brings me to the Mac AppStore inside of the ROBLOX app. Then it says “this app can only be purchased on a iPad or iPhone” though I am inside the ROBLOX app on my iPad. This only happens for group games.

When I go to the group page to find a game, it thinks I am in the web browser and therefore it assumes I am a Mac User and attempts to make me play the game as a mac user.

This happens on any game that I try and play by going to the group’s page and then the game.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Open up the groups page via the mobile app.
  • Find a group that has a game.
  • Click the game.
  • Try to play the game.

I don’t have an iPad so I can’t retrace your steps. I would suggest you make sure your iPad is up to date with updates. This is likely a personal issue or a part of your settings because a lot of players are using Apple products and I’ve never heard this issue. Make sure roblox has access in settings as well. Did this issue start recently?

Yes, it started about a week ago.
My ipad is up to date and it has full access.

If my iPad does not belong to the school, I would like to try to imitate this problem. I think it really is a Roblox problem.

I can confirm this is still happening.
It also applies on profile pages, and anywhere with the Developer tab.

To get around this issue until a fix is developed, just favorite the game after going to it and then head to the favorites page of your roblox app and play from there.
