Cannot Remove Date From Bug Report Wizard

Reproduction Steps
Once a date is selected for a bug report, there is no way to clear it within the wizard, despite it displaying empty in some cases.

  1. Create bug report
  2. Set date for either first experienced or last experienced
  3. Clicking back and then next clears the field
  4. Submitting the report uses the date that was previously cleared
  • Notice there is no option to clear the text field once a date is chosen
  • Clearing the date manually and trying to continue returns invalid date

To clarify, adding a date is optional, which becomes an issue when accidentally selecting the incorrect text field.

The easier workaround is just setting the field to the current date/time.

It doesn’t have to be “the objectively correct and accurate date at which this started”, it’s just as indication for engineers if you happen to know when it first started occurring. Don’t worry about putting a safe estimate here, it’s just so they can limit the investigation a bit more.

This is no longer an issue as of the recent bug report wizard redesign.
