So recently roblox added a new reporting menu, currently the chat reporting feature doesn’t have a option to report via DSA and the only available report options are:
Bullying, Cheating, Dating, Hate, Off-Platform Links, Personal Information, Scamming, Spam, Swearing and Violence
but theres no option to report chat messages via the DSA Reporting system Example image of the current report menu
The current Illegal Content Report Form currently also has no option for you to report ingame content that might be illegal. Attempting to report the profile and mentioning the chat messages only gives you this automatic response: Old Response
Even if the content is illegal. There doesn’t seem to be a option to report chat messages via DSA and the report article doesn’t provide any revelant information. Appealing the decision gives a instant “No violation found” response
I need some clarification regarding this bug. (Also for some info: ICR means illegal content report)
Expected behavior
I expect being able to report ingame chat messages via the illegal content reporting form or ingame via the chat messaging app or having atleast a message link you can provide to the mods for report review
Adding a message link option or a seperate “Report illegal content” report option directly to the chat reporting form would be a simple solution
This is more of a feature request, but I agree that DSA support is severely lacking here and it’s probably illegal in some sense for Roblox to not have this option available for chat messages and in-game content. Would be nice to see this implemented.
I wouldn’t say this would fit for a feature request because its more of a legal thing roblox has to follow probably. The main reason this report got created because the non existing button on the new reporting screen and the current existing reporting form not being correctly formatted for DSA reports
Companies like discord got a seperate button to report illegal content but roblox doesn’t seem to have it
I guess i have worded it weirdly which could make it seem more like a suggestion but its intended to be a bug report
Roblox also has a seperate ingame report button which i didn’t mention since it just redirects to the website but the button doesn’t make sense if you are unable to report that content
The issue is that this doesn’t work for me and there isn’t a direct report option for it
Even when you report stuff like this and link the profile/game, username, exact message and when it happened the report still doesn’t go through
This includes messages that are most times bypasses like those:
Those are just examples but those are the type of message reports that don’t go through and this includes self harm, real life threats, hate speech, child safety, etc
If there is a way to report those messages via DSA but it is not specifically explained then this should get fixed either way
The DSA Reporting form got many flaws and this is one of the issues that hasn’t been correctly addressed yet
