Cannot request removal on someone else's behalf

Attempting to request removal for another persons assets leads to an error despite being authorized on their behalf, with the registration being approved with the authorization.

However, this leads to an error regardless:

Expected behavior

I expect to be able to request removal for the content I was authorized for.

This has been an issue since the Rights Manager’s inception. I was quite disappointed to find that despite getting authorization to submit DMCA requests on someone’s behalf, you’re unable to do so… it still can only be used for assets under your account…

I believe this is intended behavior because Roblox hasn’t yet sorted out the legalities around this whole “submitting requests on behalf of someone else” thing, but would be nice to get some confirmation here @apoorcarpenter

If the way it works right now is intended, then it’s going to definitely take ages for this process to ever be fixed to actually work as it says it does. :pensive: I’m presuming it is intended because of how long this has been an issue.

@GalacticInspired this flow is not yet supported by Rights Manager. You should instead use the relevant email flow via copyright_agent@roblox.com. More information here: DMCA Guidelines | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub . I’ll make sure we clarify this in our documentation and our user flow.

We are working on building this as a fully-supported workflow in Rights Manager. Thanks for your patience, in the meantime.

Here’s what I do not understand; how come users have the ability to specifically register on behalf of another user, but to then find out it’s not even supported?
