Whenever I try to start a test server in Studio on my Mac, the player windows give me “Failed to connect to the Game. (ID = 17: Connection attempt failed” errors. The Game is active, my internet is good (I can play games on the client normally), and even the server-side window works just fine, it’s just the client replicas that cannot connect to the test server.
Still getting this issue. I’ve tried reinstalling Studio and resetting my computer. Would appreciate at least some insight, I really need to play my game with test clients.
I remember getting that all the time (still do). You can only start test server successfully, once. When you end that test server and start it up again, you’ll get that error. To fix that, restart your computer and the test server will successfully work once again. Once you end the test server, you’ll have to restart your computer again and the test server will work once again and repeat and repeat and repeat. I know that this is very annoying and a big hassle so I would like this to be fixed. I use a MacBook (very fast) that is on macOS 10.13.X and my internet is very fast as well.
This error never really used to happen until an update made it happen.
Version 10.12.4.
Any word on this? At this point, I can’t even initiate test servers, either the server replicator or the client replicators fail to load at all in most cases.
Is any other Mac user experiencing this issue? If not, it’d be cool to have staff look into it. I noticed an intern commented but never replied afterward. @DevEngagementTeam
