ive owned this community for 2 years and have been the only owner. i also never changed the name of it before. i wanna change it to a name that no other community is named, and i havent seen any other community having this name in the past but its possible it couldve been used before. whenever i try to change it, it says “The name was in use too recently”. i cant find anything about this happening to anyone, i can only find stuff about people not being able to change the name because ownership was changed too recently but the ownership has never been changed in my community. how long am i gonna have to wait until i can change it? i have UGC i wanna begin uploading as well as classic clothing, but i wanna have the name i want to settle with first. i dont see why i couldnt have this name either since no other community has it. i have contacted support but im not getting any answer. ;/
That probably means that another group had the name you are trying to change it to. Like another group recently changed their group name, from the one your trying to change, to a new one.
Example:
SUPER AWSOME GROUP (the name you want to change YOUR group to) —> THE hotdog group
@ghostdollii ‘s group → SUPER AWSOME GROUP.
Roblox won’t let you change it because it’s to recent.

ohh okay yeah that makes sense thank you!!! is there a specific time limit roblox sets until you’re able to use a name that someone just changed from? like a week, month, 90 days?
I have no idea. Probably not more than a month.

Yes, there’s a cooldown of 3 months or 90 days, at least when I changed one of my community names last year. You’d have to wait it out to change the name again unless they’ve changed it since then, which I doubt they had.
