Sometimes I find that after running Local Servers in studio a few times, I am no longer able to clean them up by pressing the “Cleanup” button in the main edit-mode studio window. (The button still works in the local server windows.). The cursor in the studio ribbon bar is also stuck on the “I” text selection cursor, except when hovering over options in a dropdown.
Thanks for the report! I filed a ticket in our internal database.
Hi,
Do you happen to have a solid repro for this?
Do you start to seeing this just recently or it has been like this for a while? (based on reading your post it seems the latter?)
Thanks
We’ve made changes to this area in the time frame this ticket was submitted, so will need to hear back on what is still occurring and ideally with reproduction steps before we can take further action here.

Sorry, forgot to reply. The first time I noticed the issue was recently, but maybe it’s been around for longer. Though I’ve done a lot of local server stuff in the past couple years and I don’t think I encountered this problem until a week or two before I made the OP perhaps.
I think one repro is just a straightforward timing thing:
- launch local server, wait for it to load etc
- in the server’s window (not the edit mode window), shutdown the local server
- in the edit mode window, press the launch button before the cleanup button has been greyed out
Just now for example I was able to launch two separate local server instances via this method (clicking the launch button twice). And then afterwards the cleanup button just didn’t work at all in that edit mode studio session.
