Reproduction Steps:
It seems to be happening to a few people when I mentioned it on my twitter @RBLXcrackop, but it seems to only be team create places. Could be some normal game places as well, although not everyone is experiencing this issue.
Expected Behavior:
When clicking the “Edit” button, it should open studio on the first attempt.
Actual Behavior:
When clicking the “Edit” button, it tries to load studio one, after about 60 seconds, it says “Attempt #1” and then tries again for approx 60s, then just shows an error message. (Here is a gif that I paused between loading to show what happens)
When clicking “Retry”, the exact same thing happens. here is the error message:
After trying to join other past games ive worked on, they all seem to work. Both team create games and solo games I can open in studio. This seems to be the only game that doesn’t want to open no matter what I try Fruity Falls RP [IN-DEV] - Roblox
I also asked my team members if they were able to join on the same team create linked above, and they said they were able to join. So i’m very confused as to why it’s only happening to this game, and only to my but not to other members. Gonna try re-installing studio, but I recently installed it so that shouldn’t be the problem…
Even after re-installing roblox studio I can’t open that specific team create. Although I am able to still work on it on a private file that saved to my computer before it stopped working. Really weird, hopefully I can get back to working in my team-create soon
@Crackop While we’re checking it on our side, can you please help us with an experiment? If your team members can open the place, can you please ask them to do that and then attempt to join while someone else is already in the place. Does it fix the problem?
Also, if they can open the place and you ask them to download it and PM it to me?
Just want to add, this has been happening for ages. It seems to happen very randomly and I fix it simply by waiting a bit before trying to open the place again.
So far we see that the server runs out of memory. This means that the place is too large. However, we would like to double check. If you can open it, would you mind to download it and PM it to me?
Even weirder… I just created a brand game place https://www.roblox.com/games/6623344306/TESTING-Fruity-Falls-RP , published my Fruity Falls RP progress from my computer file into that game, tried to open it, and it worked perfectly. But then when I tried to do the same thing and overwrite the place file for the original Fruity Falls place with the team-create, it shows me this
Disable all plugins, restart Studio, and try to join again
Try to join using an alt account on the same machine you are currently using
Let me know the results for both of those. Also, I joined the group, could you grant me a roleset to access the group places? I would like to take a look to see if I can reproduce the Team Create join issue
can I ask why this issue still persists even today? this issue has been going on for months honestly (i rarely use team create until recently. due to the known “union glitch” i have to open a baseplate and do the building on that baseplate (while unpublished) When the build is complete, i just copy paste it onto the game that build is supposed to be in) In team create it wont let me connect to TC for the baseplate 2021 but it does allow me to TC for the normal baseplate. Weeks ago i had this same issue with OutlookG and it happens randomly and its annoying.
Another issue is TC failing to publish the game. I have to group the models i made and save it to file just because Roblox cant publish the game for some reason - which is affecting progress time. Can you guys focus on these issues before adding more new updates to ROBLOX Studio? I dont understand why this issue still persists after months and months with all these various updates
( I dont want to appear as rude, but it has annoyed me greatly as a builder and especially others as well )
It could be compressed to make storage easier think about some games are giant wouldn’t it be easier if it was compressed so maybe it uncompresses when you open it
The issue has seemed to solve itself like it seems to have had for everyone else who encounters this bug, just needs waiting. Took me over a week, but it finally lets me join the team create!
