Can't connect two points perfectly

I’m not sure entirely how to explain this but I’ll try my best:
I’m trying to connect two points together, but I have no idea how. I can rotate it manually, but it will never be lined up perfectly.
I have looked up this problem, but I can’t find a solution for this. What I DID find was people trying to do something similar in scripting, but that won’t help me here because I’m trying to build it.
If this doesn’t make sense still, I also have some images.

The two things I want to connect:

Trying to connect the two points:

The problem (not lined up correctly, even with increments changed it will still be slightly off):

How It SHOULD look:

Is there any way to do this or am I completely out of luck?

union and negating the left over pieces

Like this?

If you mean like this, I can’t do it this way because I really need it lined up correctly.

why wouldn’t that work? i don’t see it not working.

Well it would make it lined up in a sense, but then there’s too much extra ‘space’ on the bottom.

ohhhhhhhh i see.

just move the negative part down where the two align

Well I feel like that just moves the problem back a step, because I still have to align the negate part, and I don’t have a way to get it perfectly in place.

I still couldn’t figure out how to solve this building issue after years. I hope you find the help you need. :sob:

I’m sorry if this was obvious, but how does your move tool snap perfectly with 0.472 after you rotated it? Mine doesn’t do that for whatever reason, so I can’t get it right. (Also, thank you for your help)

‘Snap to parts’.

Oh it was on but I didn’t realize it doesn’t work with a low increment. (got it working though)

Thank you for your help!
