In a group where I have the permission to create badges, I am still blocked and told I do not have permission. My client gave me access and confirmed it was saved, and I still get this message when creating a badge:

Also by permission do you mean you have the āSpend Group Fundsā permission?
We talked previously in DMs but I just wanted to update you. We decided to remove the Spend Group Funds permission. Now you will need the three enabled permissions seen in this screenshot
This applies even past the first 5 free badges.

Are the 3 toggled on permissions in the attached screenshot all that are needed for a group member to create badges in the groupās games? I canāt seem to create them without the āSpend group fundsā permission, which is a little annoying.
Yeah you shouldnāt need the Spend group funds permission anymore. Are you seeing that you need four permissions now to create badges?
Thanks for the info. Yes, I have all the permissions you mentioned toggled on for my role but when the spend group funds one was removed, it removed my ability to create badges for the group, including free ones. This highly restricts my development workflow as whilst I donāt want developers to be able to spend group funds recklessly, I do want them to be able to create badges.
Would really appreciate some assistance with this - let me know if youād like me to create another report and @ you.
Also, while youāre here I might ask - can I get some insight as to what the āSpend group fundsā permission actually entails? I know it lets you spend funds to make badges (pretty sure), and I thought it let you blow all the group funds on ads but upon investigation it seems not. Iām weary of giving developers this permission due to the security risks it might pose, but at the same time I do want them to have the ability to view group funds and create badges.

So for your scenario I think you can provide the spend group funds permission but donāt give them the advertising permission. I donāt know the exact name of this permission but I can ask if you also donāt know what that is.

Iām pretty sure this would be the āAdvertise the groupā permission, albeit the name is a little misleading implying you can only advertise the group (which hasnāt been an option since the removal of User Ads) and not itās experiences. Makes sense now that Iām aware though, so thanks.

Just hoping you guys are aware that we give devs this permission and if any abusive perms are attached to it without warning (of which Iām pretty sure some are planned with the new Creator Hub Payouts tab), this could cause chaos with lots of groups.

How its intended to work is that you will still be able to use group funds even if you donāt have the Spend Group Funds permission. Iāll try to get you an update by next week for the bug fix.

Are you trying to use group funds or user funds when creating the group badge?
If you can still repro then please DM me your badgeId, userId and groupId
Oh, thatās a little awkward - I overlooked this and actually didnāt have these permissions turned on.
Tried with them on just now and everything seems to be working.
