Can't figure out how to change object's front face

I know this is such a simple issue, but I can’t seem to figure it out. Help would be appreciated.

I’m trying to change which face of an object is the front.
In the image below, the blue line is the orientation indicator, and the red line is where I want it to be; I just simply can’t figure out how to change it.

Sorry if I’m using the wrong terms to describe my issue.

I’ve tried:

  • Searching on forums
  • Searching on dev hub
  • Rotating part (blue line moves with it)
  • Using pivot editor (nothing)

You have to edit the orientation and size of the part until you get the desired results. Annoying, I know.

Thanks for your reply.
The problem with this is that the object is a cylinder, so when I do that it ends up like this:

Unions take properties from the first part you select. This includes rotation. Make a part, face the front face to what you want on the cylinder, then place it within it and union, making sure to select the part first.

Thanks for your reply.
The cylinder is a mesh from Blender, so I can’t union it.

Then rotate it in blender and apply rotation (or just rotate in edit mode lolz).

Ooh, okay. There might be a setting in the import menu regarding part orientation. I could be wrong since I haven’t used Roblox Studio in a while.

Both of your answers worked, sorry I can’t mark them both as solutions.
Thank you both for your help!
