I created this troll game with no purpose but to rickroll, but it’s getting a bit of attention somehow, which I didn’t expect. It’s somehow getting 15k+ daily active users, thus I’m looking for suggestions how I could be keeping my players more enganged with the game since players spend an average of 5 minutes on this game…
How the game currently works:
At first it’s a single player game. A sphere appears in front of you that asks you to not follow what the sphere says, but the use actually has to follow. The spheres messages appear as bubble chat. After around 4 minutes of gameplay, the game ends and you get teleported to a rickroll game (I planned on rickrolling before I even made a sphere game, that’s why…)
The rickroll game is a low quality game that plays rickroll a few seconds, then you are in a lobby with 40 players. There is a board showing who got rickrolled last, and a free model obby. Don’t judge… I made the lobby in a day as I wasn’t expecting much from this. There’s absolutely nothing to make revenue off other than donation board.
I’m looking for ways to increase my percentage of returning user, that’s my main focus. Then I can move on to add ways to monetize the game. I am willingly to fully replace the rickroll ending if needed.
