As a Roblox community member, it is currently too hard to have favourite experiences and assets without publicising what I’ve favourited. Anything I favourite using Roblox’s features must be displayed publicly and that means other users who come across my profile can also browse everything I’ve favourited. If I want private favourites, I need to use browser bookmarks instead.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my community experience because I could have greater control over who is able to see my favourites and maintain privacy over another tenet of my profile. Roblox is pushing very strongly for privacy controls and favourites should not be a stranger to that — players and especially developers would benefit from that.
Example use cases for why favourites privacy would improve my website experience:
- No one can misconstrue my favourites for endorsement.
- No one can use my favourites to harass me (stalking or otherwise general bullying).
- No one can use my favourites to silently advertise their experiences if others can’t see them.
