This bug has existed for 2 years and should be fixed.
If you are in a party, you can’t join 1 player games at all. It’s possible to be in a party and forget, and it tells you the game is full, so you actually have no idea it’s caused by the party unless you figure it out. So for some people it would actually negatively impact their ability to play Roblox games, so I think this is a more serious bug than it is clearly being treated as.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but you cannot join any game with a maximum capacity that is smaller than the size of your party. In that vein, the system is working as intended. What would be the “correct” behavior of a party of 3 trying to join a 2 player game other than blocking it?
I believe most people would expect that the system puts 2 players in a server together and then the other player in another server rather than the system simply blocking you from playing the game at all.
I don’t see how it would break parties as this would only occur for games where the maximum number of players per server is fewer than the number of players in the party. It would make for a much better user experience when using parties rather than forcing players to either abandon their party or play a different game which is how the current system essentially works.
I agree that having a new message will solve this issue. The current system does not notify the users that the size of their party is the issue of the “Sever Is Full” message. A message stating something else like “This game does not support your party size” would be better. If this can change, this will not only notify people by giving a reasoning behind the bug but change some people’s abilities to play Roblox games.
Agreed, it would most definitely impact the quality of experience and how complicated it could be for ‘some people’s or new in comers’. Personally I think if this is mentioned to ROBLOX, in the next update this will most definitely be patched.
However I am very puzzled to why and how it has not been patched yet as two years has gone by. Maybe ROBLOX is working on something which they are not telling us? Possibly. But then leaving ROBLOX users unaware of the situation or if they are bringing something new to ROBLOX related to party’s and the function to join one player games and how it is shown then they are leaving players unaware. Therefore linking back to what you said about negative experience and feedback. I do not think players will think that deeply of this though.
Server is 12/12 - “This sever is full”
Server is 11/12, party is 3 - “This server cannot fit your party”
Game is 0/1, party is 3 - This game does not support your party size
Let’s just say your party has 3 people. Correct me if I’m wrong; but doesn’t the client automatically place your party in a server that has 3 spots or more available? I’ve never encountered a case where One member of my party had to be placed in another server due to the fact that the server the party attempted to join originally had only 2 players left before reaching full capacity. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me.
I was referring to the situation that was occurring when you had more players in your party than the max players allowed per server in a game you’re trying to join. For example, if the game only allowed two players per server and you had three or more people in your party, then it wouldn’t let you join the game.
