Hi there, my friend and I have been experiencing this issue a lot in the past few weeks where we can not join our game if Roblox Studio is open (sometimes, seemingly random) and receive an error saying our Roblox version is out of date.
The full error is seen here:
This issue seems to occur mostly when publishing the game, and then shutting down servers in order to test in-game. We have a system that automatically teleports you to a new server upon an update, but we have tried disabling it and it made no difference. Obviously I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox to no avail either. Weirdly, it is inconsistent and the error only sometimes occurs, other times I can join the game just fine. I know it has to do with studio being open as other players don’t experience the issue and if I close studio, it doesn’t happen either.
Additionally, I will receive this message in studio output shortly after shutting down servers:
raiseTeleportInitFailedEvent: Teleport failed because Cannot Teleport in the Roblox Studio. (Failure) - Studio
exception while signaling: Cannot Teleport in the Roblox Studio. - Studio
And then about 10-15 seconds later, I will be disconnected from my studio session with this message:
This issue has been causing us a lot of problems and really slowed down our development efforts, and this never used to happen until a few weeks ago, and used to do the same things to test our game and never had this issue before. I have seen a few people on Discord recently ask about this issue too but they didn’t seem to be able to resolve it, and I couldn’t find anything here on DevForum about it either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thank you.
