Hello there. I’m trying to add a normal map to my mesh, but I do not get any option to search it from my files:
I can only type on the boxes…
I’ve watched a couple of videos, and it seems that everyone else are getting the option, like in this video
Is there some special trick? I wouldn’t like to upload any new decals manually to roblox.

This happened to me too, and I am pretty sure it’s just a bug. Personally, I just restarted studio and it worked! Try doing that, perhaps try deleting and re-adding the mesh (if that’s possible) or close the properties tab and re-open it.
Hopefully, it will get fixed! 
Restarting studio didn’t help, but I just figured it only works in published games, not in .rbxl files. Thank you anyways for your answer. 
It makes sense since closing the studio requires you to publish your game! That’s why it probably worked for me.
