Bug has been occurring for about a month now. Easy to replicate, just open a new place, upload an image from studio, then go to an ImageLabel>Image and try setting its image to the uploaded image

It appears that for adding Images via this menu you need to click on the image itself rather than the text. I don’t know if this behavior changed recently, but I agree it is very unintuitive. I will file a ticket to change this. Thanks for the report!
