Whenever I try to update a gamepass icon for my game it says “Pass update failed. Please inspect the logs or network tab or post on the DevForum if this problem persists.”
What exactly do I need to provide from the network logs? I opened the page and there’s quite a bit of information and I’m not sure what part they need.
Apologies for the bump, but this issue has not been resolved for me. I have been experiencing this problem for several months now and it completely prevents me from properly updating game passes. The first time I ran into this, I was able to update it on my mobile device, but that no longer works either. Moreover, I have asked my developers to try and update it on their end, and this has also failed.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We’ve begun investigating the issue. Could elaborate on if you’re updating the pass image, or the Name/Descriptions or both? If you’re updating the image could you send over the image file? For the network tab could you also show the details/content of the errors? Please also send over the game pass you are trying to update.
I completely forgot that I posted about this and I apologize for responding so late! Anyway, it only fails to update when trying to change the image, updating the name or description doesn’t affect anything. We did eventually get it to go through after repeatedly clicking the button for about twenty minutes, but this is obviously not ideal. The game pass can be found here, though I’m not entirely sure what network tab details I am supposed to show.
No worries! Could you show the networks tab details for when clicking the update button doesn’t work and click inside one of the failures? I tried updating with your image and couldn’t reproduce the same issue. Thanks !
Out of the blue, this issue is no longer occurring and I am now unable to reproduce it. Though I hope it does not present itself again in the future, I’ll be sure to report any further problems if they pop up.
