I am Carrot. I specialize in UI design and Scripting but have worked in many other areas such as Sound Design and Modeling.

–*– Experience –*–

My Experience inside Roblox

UI

  • I have been working with UI since late 2022.
  • I love UI and mainly take commissions for it.
  • I mostly do Cartoon esc UI, but I LOVE trying new styles.

Scripting

  • I tried scripting in 2020 but because of the learning curve, I quit until late 2022. In 2022, I started learning Luau again and now I am fairly good at it.
  • I kinda suck at DataStores and Raycasting, anything else, I can probably do.
  • I specialize in CollectionService and TweenService which mostly help in scripting UI.
  • I love debugging and optimizing code to make it easier to read and customize.

Modeling

  • I tried Blender a few years ago (I honestly forgot when), I think sometime around 2023.
  • I love experimenting with a feature called Geometry nodes, but I’m kind of bad at traditional modeling.
  • I can make low-poly models, but you can get someone better. I mostly just do it for fun :slight_smile: .
My Experience outside Roblox

Animation

  • I have been doing animation (loosely) since 2017. I started my YouTube channel (@brocarfilms) on January 9th, 2023.
  • I animate with LEGOs around 1.5 hours a week to stay good at it.
  • I post 3 times a week to my YouTube channel with the help of my friends.

Music Production

  • I started Music Production after I started Roblox development but I just recently brought it into my Roblox skills. I started learning around 2022 but got good a few months ago when I started Music Theory.
  • I haven’t taken any commissions for Music yet, but I would be happy to make some if you want it.
  • I use the DAW GarageBand with my Arturia MiniLab 3 Keyboard to make happy, adventurous music.

Typing

  • Not sure if this counts as “experience”, but it does help a lot with my Scripting ability.
  • My different game average and high WPMs:
  1. NitroType Average 110, High: 148. NitroType is more real life words with punctuation and numbers.
  2. monkeytype: Average 165, High 196. Monkeytype is more of a short burst, all lowercase, 3-7 character, typing game that works on speed.

Beginnings… - Carrot

Summary of Project
  • Details: I made the UI and Scripted it. I have gained a TON more knowledge since I made this, but I really like it and even though it isn’t as good as some of my new test UIs, it is still one of my favorites.
  • Payment: 0 R$, because I made it for myself. You can make this number higher though if you want to buy it :slight_smile: . This project taught me a lot and really helped me improve my UI and Scripting capabilties.

Perspectives - Carrot

Summary of Project
  • Details: I both made the UI and Scripted the project. This was mostly a Scripting project, so the UI is not my best but it is still ok. This was the first time I started to incorporate textures into UI. It may not be my highest quality UI, but it did help me learn a lot about how to use textures (and animate them).
  • Payment: 0 R$, as always, personal project.

Snowball Fight - Carrot, SuperZman, and Lukas

Summary of Project
  • Details: I made the UI and Scripted it with the help of my friend Lukas, my friend SuperZman and I both made the map and the snowballs. This game is an ongoing project, so it is public, but it doesn’t work. I hope to complete it by this winter. I like the new UI (which I don’t know if the game is updated too) but the old UI was really lacking as it was my first time trying to make a working UI ever.
  • Payment: None, but I hope it is successful when I release it.

Chronicles End - Aswerk

Summary of Project
  • Details: Complete game UI. Menus, On Screen buttons, Health/Mana bars, etc.
  • Payment: 3000 R$ (Roblox + PLZ DONATE tax made it 1800)

Final Product:

  • This is what the finished product looked like. This was NOT my style of UI, but it was REALLY fun to push myself to make this. I am really proud of it, since it fits the game perfectly (rustic and old styled, while still looking clean and being easy to use).

Original Concept:

  • This was the first concept, Aswerk didn’t like it (neither did I really :confused: ) so it was completely changed. I love the final version and it is crazy to think that it came from this :slight_smile: .

Perspectives - Carrot

Summary of Project
  • Details: I learned soooooo much from this game. It was the first time I ever tried to make a system (chopping wood), sadly I failed miserably but I learned a ton. The UI is a little lacking, but I was more focused on the Scripting element and making the cool effects. This game was inspired by an earlier game I made called Beginnings… in which I made a custom loading and play screen.
  • Payment: 0 R$, because I made it :slight_smile: .

I work Sunday-Thursday for around 1-3 hours a day. I am mostly online on my Laptop, but I only have Studio on my Desktop.

Prices are negotiable, I accept either hourly pay or per asset. I will most likely only take R$ payment, although % can be negotiated. Please be ready to pay for tax by either paying through a group, or covering the default tax. If you are not able to pay for tax, just tell me, I will decide if the payment is still enough.
