INTRODUCTION
Alright so if you’re reading this lemme give you a quick rundown on how to use the Track Generator in Cart Ride into ANYONE!.
Where’s the Track Generator thingy?
It’s available for owners of private servers. Good news is that CRiA private servers are free.
The Basic Options
- Total Number of Tracks refers to well, the total number of tracks.
- Start Size and End Size refers to the number of tracks to make straight at the start and end. Note that the Start Size and End Size refer to the first (or last) X tracks of the Total Number of Tracks and are not appended to the track.
- The generator will try not to generate pieces that lower the track’s elevation while below the Minimum Height. Depending on whether it’s because of the Down track piece or the track is on its side and going straight down, the generator will replace the it with either a straight track piece or a random U-Turn track piece.
- The Spiral track pieces are special in that they have a chance to force the next track piece to be another Spiral track piece immediately afterward. Spiral Repeat Chance refers to the chance that happens (0 none at all, 1 pretty much makes the rest of the track just spirals).
- Number of Up Pieces at the Start makes the last X track pieces at the Start Size become Up track pieces.
Piece Weights
So if you haven’t caught on already, the algorithm generates the track with predetermined track pieces. Can’t be bothered to get pictures of each individual piece but I hope the names are straightforward enough. The Bend tracks are what cause the track to go on its side if that name isn’t clear.
Anyway the algorithm is more likely to pick a track piece with a higher weight. 0 prevents it from being chosen at all. I haven’t bothered testing or patching out what happens when you put in a negative number, so don’t do that.
Other Quirks
The first track piece will be a StraightLong piece regardless of settings.
The generator will try to avoid putting track pieces by the starting area. There may be a rare chance it happens, and a rarer chance it manages to get stuck and keep creating U-Turns in the start area until it randomly breaks free.
The track will realign itself at the start of the EndSize section; it’ll take up one or two of those track pieces if it’s not upright by the end.
Track generation will always end with the End piece. It does not count towards the total number of tracks.
The game will not save data on rides or award badges if the track is less than the default of 1000 pieces.
The FallenPartsDestroyHeight is at the Roblox default of -500. You won’t be booted out of the cart if the track somehow goes below that point, but if the end spawns below -500, yeah sorry you’re in trouble.
