Cartoon Style Trees

Hey, any feedback on some trees I’ve just created? I had trouble with the branches because I had no idea how to create a branch within the tree, and even when I tried adding another mesh to it by itself, every time I went to rotate just the top, it would end up rotating the mesh as a whole, any solution how to fix that? I just took the trunk, made it smaller and just use that for the branches. This is another tree that I made after the Palm Tree from my previous post, but I did this one on my own just messing around with it.

I’m happy with the way they came out. :slight_smile:
They look like little cheerleading trees.

i think you did a really nice job, i think maybe add a gradient texture to the leaves to give them a more colorful appearance, overall it’s very nice, reminds me of dragon adventures trees lol

Since I’m learning blender, I’m not too experienced with texturing as of yet, I just tried and didn’t work. :confused:

Il help you man, first i usually use sketchbook for my simple textures though i think you can use paint. net as well, which ever you use, use gradient and make your texture, then on blender click on the leave and click on shading, you should see the Principled BSDF, if you don’t see it there is a button saying + new, click it

then click Shift+A and add in an image texture, get your texture drag the color of the image texture to the principled BSDF base color. then click UV editing and you would see something like this select the part of the leaves and then click the x, y or z viewport, what ever the viewpoint that is the side of your leave then click U then click project from view then on the UV editor side, you would see something like this then move your uv parts to the place that you want them to be, i have already moved mine so it looks like this, and boom there you go your done, Idk is this an affective way to do it but im just a middle schooler still learning blender lol, though i hope this helps you.

Thank you very much :open_mouth:
I also notice that making different parts darker make a nice gradient too!

@Myzta
What do you think? For some reason I keep thinking of you when I see them.

Great job! Blender is tricky to use, and for what it is; this looks nice. I personally enjoy a clean and simple look in ROBLOX games.
