Cathedral Feedback

Hi, with this being my first post on the dev-forum, I hope this is the appropriate area to ask. (Apologies if anything is incorrectly formatted in this post)

I’ve very recently completed the exterior aspect to a personal project, I was wondering if anyone could suggest some fixes, ideas or changes to be made to the build in question. If you can point out any inconsistencies or unsightly errors that would be great.

I’d also appreciate any ideas on what should come next, what sort of environment should it be set in (on a mountain, on a floating island, etc? I can’t decide). I’ll also mention that I do intend on adding an interior in due time.

Oh and finally, how does it run on your device, is it too laggy for you to join, or is there nothing wrong with performance whilst in-game?

Thanks!

This looks amazing! Was this done in Blender?

Thanks! It was created entirely within studio using only parts and a single union somewhere.

This is an astonishing build, you truly do have a lot of talent. One of the best builds I’ve seen.

Random question…

Are you @TrustMeImRussian’s brother? The build quality from both of you is insane.

Back to on-topic…

On a scale of 1-10 I would definitely rate this a 10, the amount of realism in the build is mind-blowing. Keep it up bud.

I thoroughly enjoy the more, in my own definition, traditional form of building. Lots of spare time and the patience to place 55k parts is all you need.

This is so amazing! My only question is, did you use parts for the bricks, or the R15 Roblox character’s Upper torse?

First of all, wow, amazing build! Honestly some of the best high-poly work I’ve seen in Roblox. As for recommendations, I can’t do much, but I recommend fixing the top of the spire by filling in the hole with a flat cylinder, then topping it with a regular, long cylinder.

Even if that doesn’t work, or look good, they still look really nice. [Honestly, they don't suck lol](https://imgur.com/a/avIrHrA)

@3orzoi Amazing Work! Definitely a 10/10. Looks like the Hogwarts castle tbh

every individual brick on every surface is just a part, but using the r15 torso sounds like an interesting idea.

good catch, forgot to fill that in!

This is very cool and ran fine for me when I had a look.

Is it modelled after Lichfield Cathedral?

Does everyone see the same!? This is amazing! Do you have any pictures that we can take a look at from when you still was building it? Gwahahha, I just think it’s satistefying to watch pics from when things is still being built. Got some tips to build that high poly too?

It’s amazing but is it a real Cathedral ?

I believe I have never seen such a high quality build made only with Roblox Studio.
I would rate this cathedral a 10/10.
To answer your question, I think this building would look good in a small old city.

Great work, got nothing else to say about that.

I must congratulate you on your outstanding build. Your work looks amazing and I think that you have done a brilliant job on this. After seeing your work, I was tempted to Google ‘three-spired cathedrals’ to find out the name of this gorgeous build. Is your work based on Lichfield cathedral? I’ve never been there in real life but the building looks remarkably similar to your amazing build. Keep up your great work. Your build is truly incredible.

it absolutely is, I’m surprised people are figuring out what cathedral I modelled it after. Also thanks for checking, I’m treating it as a showcase so I don’t want it to cripple the users viewing it performance wise.

Spot on, it’s relatively close to me and I thought it would be a decent start for building cathedrals.

it is indeed, some people have already pointed out the correct cathedral.
