Operation Bug Spray

We are excited to share with you some new features and bugs that have been patched for this update. We have worked tirelessly hunting and squashing bugs for you all to have a pleasant and enjoyable experience. We also would like to address the exploiting situation, bugs are one thing, yet exploits are something completely different. It is almost impossible to fully account for all the insecurities within code and so exploits will not entirely always be gone. However we believe that a lot of exploits have been reviewed and we have implemented a few precautions to protect the servers from those unpleasant people. But anyways on to the updates!

Bugs & Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where the F350 car was completely broken on all teams, this should be fixed!
  • Fixed a bug where the panic buttons didn’t clear when a player left the game. This should keep the panic map a little more clear!
  • Fixed a bug where if someone bought a house, it wouldn’t clear the original owner so if they joined back it would charge the user rent payment and let them in the house again
  • Fixed a bug where the guns would not damage users if they were shot with armour on and where accessory hits didn’t register.
  • Fixed a bug where police could see every single user on their map when they activated the units button
  • Fixed the naming of Little Rock HYW to Little Rock HWY
  • Fixed a bug where you could click the buttons from the home menu behind all the frames, this including hearing the annoying button click sounds.
  • Fixed a bug where potentially if the team was full, it would still let people on the team.
  • Fixed a bug where some of the pages on the phone wouldn’t scroll
  • Fixed the indicators and running lights on the 2014 Charger
  • Fixed a bug where civilians could sit in any seat of a police vehicle and would make you wanted for GTA
  • Fixed a bug where people joining MCSO or FPD with the headless head accessory would break the customizer menu
  • Fixed a bug where exploiters would be able to spawn a car hundreds of times causing the entire server to lag and crash
  • The Flashbang and the Tear Grenade were removed from the van store because it was not planned to be used for release.
  • Fixed a bug where all of the police placeable items were not clearing after a player leaves the game and when a player walks 300 studs away from an item.
  • Fixed a bug where people were able to get the same callsign
  • Fixed a bug where some animations wouldn’t let you walk around with such as the “hands up” animation.
  • Decreased the volume of job music 1.5 → 0.7
  • Fixed a bug where users were not able to see where they were placing their police equipment
  • Fixed a bug where melee weapons were not dealing any damage
  • Fixed a bug where all of the vehicles had a red suspension. This has been made transparent.
  • Fixed a bug where the buildings with opening times shut and open based on the time stated on the sign. The only reason a store will remain open longer is if the building has a heist in progress!
  • Fixed a bug where a police officer was able to view their MDT in a civilian vehicle.
  • All police equipment besides from the barriers are completely cancollide so cars can drive through them.

New Implementations / Features

  • Implemented a new option to increase the range of your ELS viewing distance. This allows you to see lights from police vehicles at longer distances.
  • Implemented a feature where all police barriers can be knocked over by cars driving more than 15 MPH, this is to allow police be able to set up blockades with them.
  • Implemented a way for users to be able to place police equipment in parking lots of buildings, not interiors.
  • Implemented a way so that people can now see what cars they own instead of getting confused with seeing the prices of all vehicles and not knowing if you own it without selecting it.
  • Implemented a new way to put suspects into cars. This feature already existed in the game but it became difficult for police to place them in the car due to prompt conflicts. This has now been completely revamped so when you walk up to a car you will be given a GUI prompt offering if you want to place a suspect inside of your car!
  • Implemented a new system for banks. This system prevents people from harvesting a lot of money at one time. The game will randomly generate a bank module based on a rarity set by the server. The current rarities are as follows: Cash Vault: 75% | Gold Vault : 20% | Deposit Boxes: 5%
  • Implemented a feature that puts all of your guns into a folder when you change teams so when you change back to civilians, your guns are stored back at the gun shop. You can go back over to equip them when you want them again. If you get arrested all of those guns are confiscated.
  • Implemented some more helpful prompt on the jobs menu so you know why you can’t join the team such as “TEAM FULL” and “WANTED”. You will be unable to join a team if you are wanted!
  • Implemented a system that helps cops be able to catch suspects. If a player decides to respawn their character to avoid an arrest, the suspect will be given a longer wanted cooldown for cops to have time to catch them.
  • Implemented an R15 package remover that removes crazy body parts. All players will remain blocky due to the duty belts and vests!
