Police Pursuit Update

Hello everyone! We are excited to announce a lot of bug fixes, exploit patches and a couple of new quality of life changes, especially for guns, melee, getting wanted and of course the heist system! As you may be aware, Maple County may still be pretty buggy, however it has been tested to the best of our ability and if you do have any bugs, feel free to report them when you can in our socials page on the game! We’ve noticed a huge decline in exploiters and we believe that a most exploit we’ve encountered have been dealt with. We are always actively working on the game and improving your experience and allowing your creativity to run wild with all the future features we’re planning! We look forward to seeing what you do with these new features. SO with out further ado, lets go through the patch notes!

Bugs and Fixes

  • Fixed up the Put in Car function. You are now able to successfully put a person inside the car. You can drive them around for as long as their wanted cooldown is left. If their cooldown runs out, they are removed from your vehicle. You can get them out of your car and detain them which decreases their walkspeed and prevents them from sprinting. When a suspect travels more than 300 studs away from their arresting officer, they will no longer be detained. I’ve also implemented features in which when your arresting officer leaves the game or changes team, the suspect is released and they can run away again.

  • A few sound exploits have been patched, along with a bunch of sounds that have miraculously been returned to all cars. You should be able to hear reving sounds and idle sounds when you leave the car.

  • Fixed a bug where the TechnoCorps store was raided once and somehow made the heist repeat over and over again, leaving money all over the floor every time.

  • Fixed a bug where the purchase button in the gallery of the house app did not allow you to purchase a house.

  • Potentially fixed the bug where you get black screened on MCSO or FPD. When you are in the customizer, the gui is cleared when you are finished and teleports you to a spawn incase you get teleported under the map due to map taking a while to render around you.

  • Police placeable items should now be able to be destroyed when a police officer changes team or leaves the game. When the officer is more than 100 studs away from a placeable, it is also destroy and returned to the trunk.

  • Fixed a bug where the fuel pump would not work at all

  • Fixed an exploit that made all car damage go into negatives causing the vehicle to stop driving.

  • Fixed an exploit where it allowed the exploiter to disable all the team spawns which caused everybody to spawn in the center of the map.

  • Fixed an exploit where it allowed the exploiter to destroy certain areas of the map which linked in with our interior loader.

  • We added a possible fix to the skateboard where if you’re stuck on the skateboard, the spawn board button has been renamed to toggle board which allows you to turn the skateboard on and off.

  • Possible optimization improvements such as enabling a few roblox made features that makes physics more reliable and giving less work to the server.

  • Fixed a bug where players would leave the civilian jobs with the tools that were from the job.

  • Streetlights at night have been changed to come on at 5:30pm instead of 6pm to help light up the night a little faster

  • Tune improvements for civilian team so they aren’t really sluggish. We believe we found a fix where your car won’t get stuck as easily on terrain and roads.

  • Jail timer is now fixed so it counts the units properly and doesn’t look weird

  • Patch an exploit which allowed the exploiter to pepper spray the entire server in one go

  • Fixed a bug where two cops can’t arrest the same suspect

  • Potential fix on the taser when aiming in first person and regular stunning. The taser should shoot like all guns do just with a lightning bolt instead; this stuns the criminal for 3 seconds.

  • A few arresting feature changes to help make the jail times more reasonable so you’re not waiting forever. Wanted cooldown times have also been changed.

  • Implemented a fix which somehow made users who use the action wheel to be seen doing a continuous animation even when they had stopped doing it. We turned on a roblox feature that helped prevent this bug. We’ve also implemented a feature where you can now walk around with your hands up.

  • Fixed a bug where some interiors were inaccessible such as the warehouses and internet cafe

  • Fixed a lag bug where if cops took over all of the hidden van locations, the server would infinitely loop and timeout after a lag spike.

  • Fixed the long-waited bug where if you type in a callsign it would always say it was taken. You should now know accurately whether your callsign has been used or taken

  • All roads sign now have their collisions turned off so you don’t get your car stuck in them.

  • Dashcam can no longer be used whilst in MDT mode. When the MDT is activated, the dashcam mode is taken off. When your MDT is closed, your dashcam will return. This also works when you press ctrl.

  • Fixed a bug where the van man doesn’t spawn anymore after all the locations have been spotted by the police. This should now be fixed so after a certain cooldown, a van will spawn in one of the given locations.

  • Fixed a bug where if you try to arrest someone who is dead, it killed the arresting officer. It’s now made so when the person dies, the arresting prompt is completely removed.

  • Possibly fixed a bug where if you go into car spawners or any store-like UI it will clear your arms when holding a gun in first person

  • Fixed a bug where you could arrest someone through the wall

  • Fixed an exploit where an exploiter could turn on all the sirens of the game and make them extremely loud

  • Fixed a bug where advanced greens were firing off the running red light system. This has been patched so you should be able to turn left on advanced greens.

  • Fixed a bug where if you’re sitting in a seat at a heist, house, or job, you are removed from the building when the building is closed.

  • Added lighting to the PD interrogation room

  • Reworked a lot of the gun damages/ melee damages

New Implementations / Features

  • Implemented blood hitmarks to the melee weapons such as the baseball bat and the knife

  • Implemented caution tape around all heist buildings after a heist has finished. This will show to people why the buildings may be closed during opening hours as before this caused a bit of confusion.

  • You’re probably gonna hate this one, but we have implemented an ANTI AFK system so that if you are not moving around or driving, you will no longer get paid. Each person must be doing at least something in order to get XP and money. This is including all civilians!

  • Implemented names to all of the AI customers that come into the store. They are all completely random so have fun with that!

  • Implemented the first ever beta version of the pursuit system. This allows police officers to make users wanted for running away from me. When the suspect is driving away from you at a speed higher than 15 MPH, you are able to chase them in code 2 or code 3 lighting. The detection takes around 10-15 seconds depending on the distance away you are from them and if you are actually chasing them. The detection will timeout if you crash or divert from the suspect for too long. When you successfully have initiated a pursuit, you will be given a UI that tells you that the system has been initialized and you can confirm whether you are pursuing the suspect or not. Upon confirming, the suspect will be wanted for evasion for around 6 minutes. (Please note that this feature is not final and it will be worked on if we feel that the range is too low or something needs changing with it).

  • Implemented a feature where if you leave whilst you are in cuffs, you will be put in jail for the time that you would have been given
