CFL Season 34 Draft Rankings

Disclaimer: This Article Is Not Trying To Throw Shade At The Prospects, This Article Was Made To Educate The League, Captains, and Coaches.

Last Season’s Draft Was, Interesting To Say The Least. We Still Have Yet To See A Lot Of Those Players Play A Game. A Good One At That. However, This Draft Class Is Different. It Has Some Very Intriguing Players That Gives It The Potential To Be One Of The Best In Years, And It’s Deep In The Most Important Positions. So With No Further To Do, Let’s Dive Into The CFL Season 34 Draft Rankings!

1. Jack (DennisDaily5983), QB/LB - Colorado State

Jack Headlines A Draft Class That Is Overall Deep In Quarterbacks. Jack Is A PC Player. He Has Excellent Throwing Power And Instinct Of When To Use More Or Less, Has Decent Touch On His Passes, And Can Hit Just About Any Throw On The Field When He’s In The Zone. Slants, Posts, Digs, Outs, And Dimes. He Also Has Good Leadership Qualities. Doesn’t Get Emotional That Often, And Could Realistically Step In As A Team Captain Right Away. His Biggest Issues Are His Inconsistencies. Specifically When Throwing Too Deep Or Off-Platform. As Of Right Now, He Is Strictly A Rhythm-Based Quarterback That Needs To Get Warmed Up With A Few Short Passes Before He Can Go In For The Kill. You’re Not Getting 80 Yard Off-Platform TDs On The First Play Of Every Drive. That’s Not What You Draft Him For. On Defense, He Has Decent Side To Side Speed And Quickness, And Is Very Coachable Because Of His Attitude And Smarts. Overall, The Negatives Are Not A Bad Trade-Off If The Team That Drafts Him Isn’t Stupid. He Has Franchise Quarterback Level Talent That Can Be Harnessed With The Right System Around Him.

2. Kay (messiahkillw36), WR/LB - Penn State

Kay Is A Great WR Prospect. He Has Great Timing On His Jumps, Quick Snappy Feet To Get Open Fast With, And Understands Different Types Of Route. Add In Him Being A PC Player That’s Able To Dive Effortlessly On Any Given Throw, Adds To The Magic Of Kay Being A Quarterback Friendly WR. Fostering A Competitive Edge Not Only On The Offensive Side Of The Ball But Defensively Too, Kay Has Good Instincts, And Solid Tackling Skills. He Is Disciplined With His Timing And Is A Natural Defender On Special Teams. The Key For Kay Is Keeping Him Motivated Enough To Care About Being On Your Team As There Are Some Character Concerns, And Playing To His Strengths. Regardless, Any Team That Takes A Chance On Him That Has A Plan, Should Be Getting At The Very Least A Great WR2, If Not Already A Definitive WR1.

3. 24k_isaiah (lildrip5172), QB/WR/DB - North Carolina

Isaiah Even As A Mobile, Is A Gifted Player That Can Comfortably Play Multiple Positions On Offense. He’s Not Elite At All Of Them, But Very Good At Any. Which In A Way, You Could Say It Makes Him This Draft Class’s Travis Hunter. Isaiah Has Decent Ability At Quarterback. He’s Able To Make Serviceable Short Throws And The Occasional Dime. He Has Decent Ability To Evade Pressure And Can Read The Field. But As Wide Receiver Is Where He Is Best. Isaiah Has Some Of The Best Hands In This Draft Class. Going Up And Getting The Ball Is Not An Issue. He Flashes Great Deep Route Running Ability And Has Decent Timing On His Jumps. On Defense He Is Pretty Solid At Coverage. He’s Better Suited For Man Coverage So He Can Use His More Aggressive, Ball-Hawk Style. He Can Occasionally Get Burned For Being Too Aggressive So That Is A Small Issue. The Biggest Issue For Isaiah Is His Attitude. He Is 100% Crash-Out Prone And Can Get Thrown Off Mentally Which Directly Impacted His Combine Performance. So Whatever Team He Goes To Will Have To Keep Him In Check To Ensure They Get Their Value From Him. Overall, Isaiah Has Enough Potential To Be A Team’s Definitive Starting QB, Or Definitive Starting WR. Combining His Unique Strengths And Red Flag Weaknesses, He Is The Ultimate Boom Or Bust Prospect Of The Season 34 Draft.
