[CGDA] Staff Guide

CGDA is a gymnastics and dance related group. We open staff apps either when we really need staff or each 2-4 months. Staff is required to follow the guidelines and meet the monthly requirements.

General Expectations

As a staff, your job is to help the gymnasts with their routines.You must follow all rules, expectations, and guidelines. If not, that will result in a warning.

  • You must be able to log all of your events. Both practices and tryouts. This helps us figure out who met the monthly requirements and who did not. If you did host, but did not log, that would be bad for you since we wouldn’t count it even if we knew you hosted.

  • Being active within the group and media. You must be active within the group and media (Discord). This means hosting as much as you can to help the gymnasts and everyone in the community.

  • You must be respectful and considerate to everyone in the community. Being respectful, kind, considerate, caring is needed when being a staff here at CGDA. We want everyone to feel welcome. If you do not meet this, it will be an automatic warning.

Role Expectations

Helpers
  • Helpers are expected to help at at least 3 tryouts/practices per month.

  • Host 3 practices per month as well.

  • Help at 2 dance classes per month.

Instructors
  • Instructors are expected to host at least 3 tryouts per month.

  • You are also expected to host at least 3 practices per month.

  • Host or help at 2 dance classes per month.

Administrative Team
  • The Administrative Team is an HR. You need to host at least 2 tryouts per month.

  • You are also required to host 1 practice per week as well.

  • Host or help at 2 dances per week

Promotions and Demotions

Promotions are given to those who have been working hard and HR’s have seen it in you. This means you host/help a lot, you are following the rules, and being nice to everyone. Promotions are given as soon as we think so, but promotions are given often. If not given often, it’s because you have not worked that hard.

Demotions are given to those who have reached the max amount of warnings, which is 3. Warnings are given when you are not following the requirements, or breaking a rule. If you are a helper, you are demoted to gymnast. If you are an Instructor, you are demoted to Helper. And if you are in the Administrative Team, you are demoted into Instructor.

Scheduling and Logging

For scheduling, it’s very simple. The day before, you will go to #tryout-times, #practice-times, or #dance-class-times using the following format:

Tryouts

For logging, as well as scheduling, it is very simple. After your event (Tryout, practice, dance class) You will go to the staff channel and go to #hosting-logs and use the following format.
