At the moment for accounts that are terminated: After 30 days, moderation actions against an account are ineligible for review.
If you notice an incorrect ban after the 30 day period from not using an account frequently, this can feel unfair. Could the system not be changed to 30 days after seeing the ban?
I feel like 30 days is sufficient enough. Actually, under most platforms, 30-days is rather long. I think that a better alternative would be to send moderation notices via some other form of contact such as email, phone, etc so that a response can be made vs. forgetting and coming back to an account that can’t be appealed. In the event that a user doesn’t verify their account, it’s 2021… most sane people verify their accounts.
The information that got you moderated seems to be an account purchase that was unauthorized by you as not being the account holder of the card, bank or paypal account. If an unauthorized purchase was made on your account by someone who is not you, that gives you grounds to make your case. If it was you and you were using a stolen credit card, bank, etc, then, to me, this ban seems sufficiently fair. I will note that gaming companies use this terminology as standard practice so, I feel like it’s clear enough. Either way, though, best of luck.
My old account was falsely terminated 5 years ago. I appealed on the same day, but appeals refused to do anything about it for the 30 days, then after that, started refusing to help on the grounds of “it has been over 30 days!” Despite this being 5 years ago and having no moderation issues at all on my new account since, they always refuse to engage with me about it. I understand this rule for short bans, but I don’t think there should be any limit for account terminations. There definitely needs to be more oversight or some kind of verification from company higher ups when it comes to account terminations of players that have been on the website for a long time, with high account values, etc.
