Change the DevForum (or Developer Hub) Icon?

I’ve been thinking if the icon of the DevForum or Developer Hub should be changed into something because they are using the same icons, and it can be lost easily in your tabs if you have both open

Not sure if you guys support this, would like to hear your thoughts

Technically the DevHub doesn’t have an official logo, so even if they wanted to change it, what would they change it into?

I like how Roblox development just has a general logo associated with it. Studio, the wiki, the education page, and Devforum all have it. I’m not against a new one, but I also like the sense of a cohesive whole with a single logo.

I agree with this.
Due to my personality, I open a lot of tabs.
Then the tab will only show the first characters. Then I don’t know which is DevHub and which is DevForum.

I limited my screenshot to 2 tabs to make my point clear, but for a good chunk of developers (especially those who can’t memorise the parameters for a lot of built-in functions and events like me), that is what most people have to deal with.

I say that Roblox could probably easily whip up a new design for either icons but nothing too different, just enough for people to tell which is DevHub and DevForum

To be fair, this was planned and released by Roblox in the past (from a now removed Brand Guidelines post)

Maybe you like that more than currently?

I think they should just make the dev forum one fuchsia since that way it follows brand guidelines and looks 10x cooler.

It looks distinct from the actual Roblox Studio icon (being used on both DevForum and DevHub right now), and if roblox does decide to make that the new icon for DevForum, it still gives you that roblox studio vibes (or at least I am), mostly because of the blue

It also looks distinct enough for people with multiple tabs open to differentiate DevHub from DevForum if both are open in a web browser in situations like what @dollychun showed earlier in the thread.

That would look great for DevForum imo but we probably need the community to voice out their opinions about it if roblox does decide to implement it

Looks great to be completely honest and would be good to clear confusion. I personally don’t have a million tabs open like the rest of you (maximum tabs I have open is about 5, usually only have 3 open now) but this would be a good move to stop people from getting confused. I don’t think we need this however though I only managed to get this feature working on a duplicate page of the post but there is tab grouping features in browsers.

And in browsers like Opera, you’ve got workspaces so you could technically separate your DevForum and Developer Hub activities.
