Does this apply to countries in the UK?
THIS SHOULD HAVE ALREADY BEEN A THING!!! Also why only in the EU? I feel lik- no I KNOW this was only made so y’all dont get in any trouble. This is scummy behavior and companies shouldn’t be allowed to do this stuff without applying it to all users!
tldr: I’m praying on y’all downfall (actually I’m praying on the downfall of all companies that do this)
Because the more transparency is only for when EU players report illegal activities.
For our normal reports we still have the same transparency as any other user.
cough
cough
It sadly doesn’t say that
I know it doesn’t say that. But after testing it and reporting one person normally and one person which I found was doing something very bad through the new Illegal report system, I noticed I got a email only for the person that I reported with the new system. So this post could have been worded better.
That aside tho, Roblox is planning to implement a better insight in reports in the future for everyone:
I need to know if “Developers and Users in the EU will have the right” is up to 6 months. Because I got terminated unfairly 2 years ago and I really want to escalate the issue I got from my old termination on my main account. I’ve been waiting a long time to get justice for my account, which didn’t deserve this fate.
To those who are mad about it being only applied to European Users, You need to know about the laws of the European Union, If you don’t live in the European Union, just change your account location or use a VPN? I don’t get why you are mad about the fact that it only applies to Europe…
Edit: Realised that you can’t use the European Union laws stuff when you change your account location [tested by the European Union report form]
Europe can have their moderation transparency. More power to them. However, there’s no law saying any other country CAN’T have that same transparency. People in this topic are upset because they only gave european users moderation transparency because of some law. A country shouldn’t need a law like that for Roblox to give out more transparency.
There is no reason to add it if it’s not at a law of a certain country, that’s it
I got falsely terminated 2 years ago too! I got my first appeal denied then all others in next 29 days were “Sorry, bla bla decision is already made from first appeal!”. We deserve better.
Morally speaking its scummy that a company like Roblox refuses to be more transparent until they are forced by the law. We (developers and players) are the only reason Roblox is still around and for that I believe that we (at the bare minimum) should have some sort of real transparency when it comes to moderation and site related issues.
So Roblox can provide more transparency to users to end moderation-based frustration, but chooses only to do so when required by law? Classic corporation.
Why is this only being rolled out to EU users? Shouldn’t ALL of us get to know why our stuff is taken down, or to report illegal cotent? Shouldn’t we ALL get to appeal moderation decisions for up to 6 months? Typical ROBLOX behavior making the user experience as terrible as they legally can for the sake of saving a couple nickels.
They can do whatever they want with their game, at any given moment. However that becomes and issue where law comes to play, for example the EU laws and how Roblox implemented the moderation collide between each other, so Roblox is only doing that because they are forced to do so.
Moderation actions and how it works should not be available to the public, I know that it may seem a little unfair or annoying to be moderated for “no reason” and I understand that majority of the bans are mostly falsely detected by the AI system.
I get moderated all the time for innocent clothing and it’s slowly getting on my nerves, however keep in mind that Roblox physically can not deal with appeals as they receive around 30-40k tickets in a few hour span which makes it IMPOSSIBLE for humans to review everyone’s appeal, so either we use automation to make it fair for everyone, or we review everyone manually. You can still request manual review of your moderation if you’re a part of the guilded program where you can DM a staff member.
Laws are only active on the day they were implemented.
If murder was legal 2 months ago and the new law takes action today, of course the murderer will not get punished as it was not a part of the rules at that time.
Why hasn’t Roblox uploaded to the database yet, am I missing something here?
its ashame there talk is cheap. im still getting the same old automatic responses even when i quote EU Law at them. no real change from them what so ever
That’s because European Union recently passed a bill that forced every big tech company to be more transparent about their customers, more specifically, eu users, and if those companies don’t comply, they’d get fined
This has not happened yet. Why?
