I always run into this issue when thinking of it and even though it isn’t really important, I NEED CHARACTER NAMES. It’s mainly for a fnaf styled game where you have to keep furnaces on and some characters try to turn them off just a side project but I still feel like they need names! Literally ANYTHING will help. kinda just came up with one because I think “schizoid” might sound pretty cool if that helps.

It really isn’t that big of a deal, most of the times, you just need to come up with words that match the vibe of your game and character! Your game is FNaF-like, so It’s going to be horror themed. If you pick names based on your character’s purpose It’s going to be easier, for example; “Boiler” sounds like a name a character designed with burn marks would have ( assuming we’re talking about robots ).

If you provide more details about the characters I could try giving you hints!

just name them based on their looks, make it less “heavy”, for example “schizoid” looks heavy for reading, some simple example would sound like “weirdo”, “stranger”, or if mental illness is crucial name it something like “crazy”, “loony”, “screwy”, etc.

Since your game revolves around furnaces and keeping things hot, you should lean into industrial, fire, or heat-related themes! Here are a few quick name ideas to get you started:

  • Cinder (Simple, punchy, and fits the burnt/ashy vibe)
  • Scorch (Sounds like an aggressive animatronic that tries to ruin your furnaces)
  • Overheat (Great for a character whose main goal is messing up the heat levels)
  • Pilot (Like a pilot light—creepy because it sounds innocent, but it’s keeping the fire alive)
  • Furnace-9 / Unit-4 (Classic industrial/factory robot designation)
